Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your information.
LAST UPDATED - JULY 2026
This website, justjessiecreative.com, is operated by Just Jessie Creative ("we", "us", "our"), a freelance web design and brand identity studio run by Jessie. We're based in India and work primarily with clients in the United Kingdom, as well as other markets.
Because we collect and use personal data from people in the UK, UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) applies to us, regardless of where we're physically based.
For any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at: justjessie.creative@gmail.com
We collect personal data in two main ways:
When you contact us through the site. Our contact form collects your name, email address, and whatever details you choose to include in your enquiry (for example, your business name, project type, or budget).
If you become a client. We collect what's needed to deliver the project and run the business relationship, this can include your name, email, phone number, business details, and files or content you share with us for the project. We don't collect payment card details ourselves; any payments go through the invoicing or payment tools we use, which handle that information under their own privacy terms.
We don't knowingly collect any special category data (health, religion, ethnicity, and so on) through this site, and we'd ask that you don't include anything like that in a contact form enquiry.
-
Responding to your enquiry: legitimate interest, we have a genuine business reason to reply to people who contact us, and it's what you'd reasonably expect.
-
Delivering a project and managing the client relationship: performance of a contract.
-
Keeping records for accounting and legal purposes: legal obligation / legitimate interest.
We do not currently run any email marketing or newsletter, so we don't process your data for marketing purposes. If that changes, we'll ask for your clear consent first and update this policy.
-
This site uses a cookie consent banner, so you can choose which cookies you're comfortable with. Essential cookies, the strictly necessary ones that keep the site running and secure, are used automatically and don't need your consent. Any other type, such as functional, analytics, or marketing cookies, will only run once you've accepted them through the banner, and you can go back and change your preferences at any time.
We don't currently run any analytics or marketing tools on this site. If that changes, the relevant cookies will be added to the banner's categories, and this section will be updated to match before they go live.
We don't sell or rent your data to anyone. We share it only where it's needed to run the site and the business:
-
Wix.com, our website hosting and platform provider, which processes contact form submissions and hosts the site. Wix acts as a data processor and has its own privacy policy governing that role.
-
Google Workspace/Gmail for correspondence, Google Drive for project files, and such google approved tools used to communicate with you and manage active projects.
We don't share your data with any advertising or marketing platforms.
-
Because we're based in India, personal data submitted through this site is processed and stored outside the UK. Wix's own infrastructure may also store data in other countries. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data is handled with a level of protection that reflects UK data protection standards, and we only use this data for the purposes described in this policy.
If you'd like more detail on where specific data is processed, contact us using the details above.
-
Enquiries that don't turn into a project: kept for up to 12 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
-
Client data: kept for as long as we're working together, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our own legal, accounting, and insurance obligations (typically no more than 6 years after the relationship ends, in line with standard business record-keeping).
You can ask us to delete your data sooner, see your rights below, though we may need to keep some information where we have a legal reason to.
-
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
-
Access the personal data we hold about you
-
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
-
Erasure, ask us to delete your data
-
Restrict how we use your data
-
Object to us using your data
-
Portability, get a copy of your data in a commonly used format, and have it transferred elsewhere
-
Withdraw consent, in the rare case we're relying on it
To exercise any of these, email us at justjessie.creative@gmail.com. We'll respond within one month.
-
-
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first at justjessie.creative@gmail.com so we can try to put it right. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 30 days.
-
If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator: Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
-
This site and our services are aimed at business owners and professionals, not children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new tools or services. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
